I once again had the opportunity to shape the brand identity for the list of Kansas Notable books in 2019. This year, I drew on the timeless iconography of the state animal, the buffalo. I wanted to make something that felt somewhat handmade, but still had a modern, digital feel. I personally feel like the poster for this project is the most successful I’ve ever been fitting such a large amount of text into an image without sacrificing legibility or aesthetic.
